March 12th 2022

12:00-4:00 pm

Great River Regional Library

In partnership with the local Boys and Girls Clubs, Great River Regional Library, Great River Children’s Museum, Minnesota Arts Board, and the Central Minnesota Arts Board, Yiran Arts presents this event including African Storytelling / Readers Theater, African drumming, dance, and a display of children’s art.

We will have the event in person and livestream.  The event is free and open to the public.

Our chosen author, Anthony Fredericks, collected stories from many countries in Africa. The book is called African Legends, Myths, and Folktales: Readers Theatre.  Each Boys and Girls Club in our area has chosen one story to present in readers theater format.

In addition, artwork, dance, and African drumming will be presented as interludes between each of the stories.
