Acrylic artist Blaine Johnson – previously known for his impressionistic landscapes and plein air (open air/outdoor) paintings is experimenting with a new style. Organic landscapes become bold, linear lines separated by bands of color that result in minimalist artwork – eliminating all non-essential forms, features, or concepts.  When asked about his creative process, Johnson stated that “I let inspiration guide me and pay particular attention to the feelings I want to evoke upon completion. I paint from the inside out.
