Enjoy tea, sambusas, and English tea sandwiches, with poetry and conversation, at the Whitney Senior Center with Lyricality and Unite Cloud, Tuesday, October 11, 5:30-7:00 pm.
All are invited to an Intercultural, Intergenerational LyricaliTea Party!
The theme, “After Hardship There is Ease” will show us how Lyricality Circles are bringing people together to find strength for our journeys through human hardships to the ease that comes after. Central Minnesota poets will share their artful words, introduce important questions about who we want to be to each other, then guide a community dialogue designed to help us appreciate our own resilience and the resilience of people from other backgrounds, cultures, and races. Come and help us spark healing transformation through the pleasures of poetry and story.
A Somali-English translator will be present.
There will be a 10-minute break with your choice of: *Qi Gong with Jerry Wellik; *Maghrib; *Multi-faith Prayer for Peace led by a Greater St. Cloud Faith Leaders; *or refill on tea, sambusas & sandwiches
This is a FREE event, Open to the Public — but, please register so we have enough food and beverages for everyone! https://hipaa.jotform.com/222627522672052//
