Presented by Paramount Center for the Arts at Paramount Theatre

This introductory level embroidery basics class will teach you six foundational embroidery stitches— running, back, satin, french knot, split, and chain. Not only will you develop these new skills, but leave with a handmade stitch sampler book for future reference! Kelly Meyer is a self taught embroidery artist with over 10 years of experience who fell in love with the art form after setting down her paintbrush with the birth of her twins. She immediately connected with the meditative aspect of stitching and the sound of thread piercing, then pulling through fabric. Kelly does experimental and portrait embroidery of both small and large scale.
