Registration is required (links are at the bottom of this posting) to reserve a canvas to paint at Great River Regional Library while a festive community party with poetry open mic is happening. There is also sensory-friendly space available for people who experience overwhelm.

Featuring Central MN Arts Board Trained Teaching Artists Tracy Rittmueller, Kelly Meyer, and Antionette Lee (No Limit Painting) with Buddy King drumming to accompany spoken word and poetry ambassadors / Cultural Consultants Hedy Tripp, Anisa Hagi-Mohamed, Keshia Anderson-King, Abdi Mahad, Hudda Ibrahim, Sylvia Calderon, and Omar Bhirwani. Jim Read will be typing poems on demand. Kid’s snacks provided by Yes Network and Tea provided by Lyricality. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Central MN Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
