Phil Kline’s UnSilent Night is an ethereal 4 part 40 minute composition intended to be played simultaneously on individual devices by a crowd, outdoors, in winter, on a community stroll. It creates an in-person real-life surround-sound community experience like no other. Join us at MontiArts (213 W Broadway, Monticello) at 6 on Sun Jan 1st. We’ll help anyone who hasn’t already loaded the tracks to their phone, and set out for our stroll. Afterwards, we’ll have cider, cocoa and treats at MontiArts, where there is also a sale of local art going on, and visit and meet new friends and neighbors. This is a perfect way to kick off 2023 in a low key, unique, friendly way with your family. Dress warm. Glowiness strongly encouraged; wear/bring battery operated lights/lanterns.
