This is a film festival celebrating French and Francophone films throughout February and March that is presented by the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University’s Languages and Cultures Department.
Throughout the months of February and March, CSB/SJU’s Languages and Cultures Department will be showing various French and Francophone films. The Tournées Film Festival consists of six films. All films will be shown at CSB/SJU campuses and are free to attend!
The first film in the series is Lost Illusions which premiered in 2021 and was directed by Xavier Giannoli. It surrounds the life of the main character, Lucien de Rubempré, who is a young poet trying to navigate the art world on his own.
“Lost Illusions” will be shown at Saint John’s University’s Alcuin Library in room 170 at 6:30pm on February 14th!
All films are subtitled in English.
The Tournées Film Festival is made possible with the support of Albertine Cinematheque, a program of Face Foundation and Villa Albertine, with support from the CNC / Centre National du Cinema, and SACEM / Fonds Culturel Franco-Américain.
