This is an African Storytelling event narrated by three Boys and Girls Clubs. They have chosen the following stories:
The Boy Who Wanted the Moon – Congo story told by the South Side Boys and Girls Club
Natiki – South African story told by the East Side Boys and Girls Club
The Hunter and the Deer Woman – Nigerian story told by Roosevelt Boys and Girls Club
There will also be children oriented African drumming, and a culture tour of the Congo, South Africa, and Nigeria.
All human cultures have basically the same core traditional values expressed in different forms, different characters, through their folk tales.
