We are excited that singer-songwriter Dennis Warner will be taking the stage at 5 pm for his first appearance at Summertime By George, next to Lake George in St. Cloud.  Dennis and his band will perform music from his 11 albums, including “Seeds”, named one of the top CDs in folk music in 2012 (FolkDJ) , and “Pilot Me”, his 2020 CD that charted as the #8 album for August on the world folk music radio charts (FolkDJ).

Warner recently completed a three-week concert tour throughout South Africa, featuring his song and book, Beads on One String,  now in its Ninth Printing.  “Beads on One String is a reminder of our connectedness to each other, like beautiful beads on a necklace”, suggests Warner.  “Though apartheid officially ended in the early 1990s, the country is still trying to find its way back.  We were honored to be asked to visit and to help heal wounds that persist because of racism.”

Early in 2018, Dennis was invited to the RoundGlass Music Awards in New York City celebrating “Enlightened musicians from around the globe who create music to make the world a better place.” A few months later, Warner was honored to perform for the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Toronto, where 7,500 attendees representing 230 different faiths from around the planet gathered, finding ways to coexist in our diverse world.

Throughout his extensive career, Warner has performed in diverse venues such as the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., and the world’s largest folk music festival, the Kerrville Folk Festival, in Texas.  Locally, fans have enjoyed Dennis at both the Paramount and Pioneer Place theaters, the Munsinger Gardens concert series, and most recently with the Granite City Folk Society this past December.
