Kumbayah The Juneteenth Story is a dramatization of a traumatic time in our history – when news was deliberately withheld that Black people were no longer to be enslaved in this country. Storytelling and music weave together mesmerizing scenes. Although tragedy is depicted, this play within a play is tremendously uplifting. Following the play is a 15-30 minute conversation with the cast about their experience and the impact it has had on them.
