The dynamic and charismatic Heath Quartet is one of the most exciting British chamber ensembles of the moment, steadily building a reputation for their upbeat and integrated sound. Their recording of Sir Michael Tippett’s string quartets (Wigmore Live) received widespread acclaim and won the 2016 Gramophone Chamber Disk of the Year.

They bring an innovative program that features features works by Bach, Haydn, and Korngold, and spotlights a “forgotten” Dutch composer, Henriëtte Bosmans.

They’ll also be the featured guests at our 29th annual fundraiser, Musical Chairs, on Friday, April 19, 2024. It’s an intimate evening of chamber music, wine, desserts, and a fabulous silent auction including works by area artists as well as a multitude of other highly desirable items. The Quartet will be joined by prominent local musicians for impromptu readings of favorite works. Watch for the location and more details to be announced after the New Year.
