Learn from the winner of the nation’s highest storytelling award, Laura Packer – storyteller, writer, real-time dreamer!
– How to select and prepare a 5-10 minute story.
– How to tell a story in front of a group, using spoken word techniques from storytelling, public speaking, poetry reading, and more.
– How to tell a story so the audience is engaged, interested, and wants to hear more
– How to craft a story with a beginning, middle, and end; compelling characters; and a satisfying conclusion.
– How to be a better listener.
– How to speak confidently in front of others.
– How to use voice, body language, and presence to be a compelling public speaker.
– How to use sensory detail, clear description, gestures, and pauses to make a spoken story come alive.

Three Fridays in March: 8th, 15th, 29th, and an optional student performance on April 6th (practice for that will be on April 5th)
