PA612 Portraiture 101 – (Register by 7/2)

Age 16+. This workshop will focus primarily on portrait painting, using oil paint. We will explore the many techniques of painting and cover the fundamentals of palette layout, composition, skin tone and facial features. We will learn how to approach a portrait using photographs and/or mirrors for self portraiture. It’s about having fun and trying something new! (Min. 5, Max 8)

Class Fee: $240.00 ($150.00 members)
Materials fee: $5.00 Canvas (Paid to the instructor at time of Class). Materials List available upon request.

Artist Bio
Chloe is a portrait artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has an art degree from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. Her work has been featured at the Rosalux Gallery, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, the Ad Hoc Pop Up Gallery, as well as several coffee shops and restaurants throughout the twin cities. She recently spent three months co-leading an art focused study abroad trip to Italy and Greece through the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. Chloe’s portrait work is based on ideas of perception and reflection revolving around the feminine figure and the conceptualization of self identity.
