Cinderella for 10 – 15 year olds

Join Heather at Great River Arts for a week long musical theater camp. Your child will play educational theater games, learn auditioning skills and stage presence, develop fun characters, learn vocal warm up techniques and sing several fun songs, dance to original choreography and perform on stage for a live audience.

This year we will be presenting CINDERELLA (Retold as a musical play) by Jack Perry and Robert Neil Porter. This version of the classic children’s fairy tale has all the charm of the original story and all of the familiar characters: Cinderella and her
stepsisters, the mean stepmother, the Fairy Godmother, the handsome prince, and in this version Cinderella has acquired a faithful dog, Rover, who is given the power of speech by the Fairy Godmother. Lots of fun to be had with this musical!

Theater is such a great confidence builder and the camaraderie that is experienced with the children throughout the week is invaluable! Great River Arts is a positive and creative space that our young actors thrive in. Can’t wait to see you in the summer!

An official performance will take place Friday afternoon, August 18th, at 4 pm that is open to the public, so invite your family and friends.
