Take a much needed break at the delightful Gathering Grounds Coffee Shop in Avon, Mn where Freelance artist, Lori Berquist, will be displaying her watercolors, oils and acrylic paintings. While enjoying great coffee and treats in a quaint, cozy surrounding you can browse several of Lori’s landscapes and florals. Lori has been painting since her teens but didn’t take it up seriously until about 4 years ago. She has studied with MN Art Instruction Schools, Famous Artist Schools in Connecticut, plus taken several workshops with MN Watercolorist, Rose Edin, of Staples, MN. She recently won a First Place prize for her watercolor “Seashore Serenity” and Third Place for her acrylic painting “Around the River Bend” in a juried art contest. She’s also been asked to do illustrations for greeting cards for a new company that is still in the development stage. She does commission work and has begun teaching classes on all three mediums as well.
