The Land of Lakes Choirboys is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Boychoir based out of Elk River, MN. It recently earned two silver medals at the 2008 World Choir Games in Graz, Austria and in 2010 the Land of Lakes Choirboys was inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame. They were founded in 1976 by Craig Carmody-Anderson as part of a bi-centennial program for the community of Elk River, Minnesota. Since its inception the Choir has grown from the original eighteen members to over one hundred twenty in six different choir groups. The members of the Choir come from a 50 mile radius of their facility in Elk River. The Choir currently has three touring groups that send young men on tours regionally, nationally and internationally each season. The Choir has traveled to every State in the Union, except Alaska, has been overseas fourteen times, and sung in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, England, Wales, France, New Zealand, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Ireland, Scotland and Iceland.
