Northeast Wilson Park

Northeast-Wilson Park Neighborhood Association (NEWPNA) engaged local artist, Claire Witt, to design and install a Neighborhood Gateway using recycled steel sheeting to reflect the river’s natural beauty including foliage, birds, boats and clouds. Mosaic medallions made from recycled mirror unify the gateway with the Wilson Park Kaleidoscope Mosaic Mural. The sculptural sign was mounted in concrete reinforced with footings with the help from the City of St. Cloud Engineering Department. The area around the sign has native plantings coordinated by a neighborhood garden committee.
Funding sources for the Gateway project were through the Central MN Arts Board, City of St. Cloud ArtSparks and the Otto Bremer Foundation.
