Singer-percussionist Karen Savoca and guitarist Pete Heitzman stretch the singer-songwriter formula toward funk–the first album Karen bought, at age ten, was Sly and the Family Stone’s "Life," and the duo’s first band, Mind’s Eye, set its audiences dancing. In addition to their duo gigs, they have performed and recorded with Greg Brown and produced his 2002 album "Milk of the Moon," as well as writing two film scores.
