Guitarist Reynold Philipsek is a prolific composer with a very wide range of styles and influences: gypsy, bebop, and straight-ahead jazz; the Great American Songbook; Nuevo Tango; 20th century classical; even a dash of rock. Matt Senjem is a wide-spectrum jazz bassist who often plays with Reynold in band settings–Sidwalk Cafe, Gypsy Mania, East Side, and Twin Cities Hot Club–as well as at duo gigs like tonight’s.
