Ready to let your creativity flow with the incredible power of visual journaling! This workshop is all about taking historical tidbits from the archives of the Stearns History Museum and organizing them in a fun and inspiring way.
Visual Journaling is a cross between sketchbooking, journaling, and collage. You have a lot of approaches to choose from, but in the end it will be 100% you!
Heidi has used visual journaling to research information, document projects, and hold information for a later date. It’s a way for her to manage her own neurodivergent ways, and has helped her in her education, artist practice, and life journeys.
Supplies Needed:
- A journal of your choice. If you want to use sharpies or alcohol based markers (not provided), you want a journal that can handle that type of ink.
- If you have any print outs of things you find interesting in history, or your phone works too… that may be helpful.
- Art supplies, such as Tombow Markers, a variety of pencils, and glue sticks will be available.
- Bring a bag lunch. Snacks will be available. Bring a water bottle or coffee mug to stay hydrated or caffeinated… aka motivated.
PAY WHAT YOU CAN!
Slide us what you can, prior, during, or even after each workshop! The value of such workshops range from $75 – 500. We know that is not always an option, so we give you the choice to support our efforts as much as you can. Thank you in advance!
