Breakfast Club - Lake of the Woods, Northern Minnesota

Lake of the Woods occupies parts of Minnesota and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Manitoba. Once an important fur-trading route between the Great Lakes and and western Canada, it is now known as a premier vacation destination with world-class fishing,abundant wildlife, and sheer natural beauty. Henry will talk about the region’s uniqueness and its rich tradition of farming, which includes hosting the World Championship of Ploughing.

Henry, a St. Cloud native, has been with the Tourism Bureau for eight years. He previously worked with Creative Memories and owned a St. Cloud consulting business. He was drawn to the tourism position because he had fished the area for more than 20 years. He knew the people, and already felt an extreme responsibility to support them. “The small business owners are like the salt of the earth,” he said in a 2011 interview with the St. Cloud Times.
