Artist Robert C McCoy designed the five panels to highlight significant historical elements of Foley Minnesota: Livestock, Lumber, Intercontinental (transportation), Agriculture, and Government. The artwork for each panel was based on pictures from the Benton County Historical Society. Banners identify Foley and community, family, industry, history and commerce.
A group of grassroots leaders worked in partnership with a private business, the local Chamber and the City of Foley to actively engage the community in the first public art installation in the downtown area. The goals of this project were to improve the aesthetics (beautification) and to encourage positive impacts in the local economy by adding greater interest in downtown.
