It all started when…
I watched Michael Jackson’s Thriller when I was a little girl. Way back when VHS tapes were the only way to watch anything more than once I found myself rewinding the dance scene over and over. I was mesmerized by the choreography, costumes, thematic staging, and dancing. I had no idea what all of that was at the time but I haven’t stopped learning about it since. The movement, expression, and creativity within the art of dance continues to energize me.

Why then, a studio? To answer that question I had to ask another question. What is on the other side of fear? The gift of living an inspired life is what lies there. For me, the other side meant to create a company that encourages and facilitates the physical and artistic growth within the disciplines of dance and movement for all ages that are inspired to be moved. Dance has been a thread in my life that has interwoven the joys, friendships, heartaches, obstacles, and the sheer bliss of living. I have been dancing since I could move. From a technical perspective, I have been training since I was 11 years old. I have been a dancer for studio lines, a high school dance team, a college dance team, college theatre dance, and local dance companies. I have coached, instructed, choreographed, and directed dancers of all ages. Why do I do it? Why is it that I keep coming back to dance? It is like a friendship that grows even stronger in its interlude. There is a sense of home within the dance and I want to be able to share that at Studio B.
