Annual Meeting & Breakfast Club

John Thavis, author of The Vatican Dairies and The Vatican Prophecies, will talk about his work as a journalist at Breakfast Club on Wednesday, October 10, at the Stearns History Museum.  The program will immediately follow the 8 a.m. Annual Meeting.  Thavis, a graduate of St. John’s University, spent 30 years as a Vatican Journalist.  His daily exposure to the power, politics and personalities of Vatican gives him a unique perspective of inner workings of the Catholic institution.  The former bureau chief of Catholic News Service has written extensively on religious issues in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East and has won numerous journalistic awards, including the St Francis de Sales Award, highest honor given by the Catholic Press Association.
