This rootsy Iowa-based duo’s repertory offers instrumental and vocal music ranging from bluegrass and old-time country through swing. Mark Clark (guitar), Joy Ward Clark (fiddle) play “fast-paced breakdowns, beautiful waltzes, and songs of loss and celebration.” And maybe if we ask nicely, Mark will do some thumbpicking on his nice archtop, built just down the Interstate by Alexandria luthier Terry Kennedy.
