Will Allen, author of The Good Food Revolution

Will Allen, farmer, founder and CEO of Growing Power Inc., is recognized as a preeminent practitioner of urban agriculture in America and throughout the world. Will grew up on a small farm in Maryland, the second-youngest of six children of a sharecropper.

Today, Allen’s organization helps develop community food systems across the country. An eco-classic in the making, The Good Food Revolution is the story of Will’s personal journey, the lives he has touched, and a grassroots movement that is changing the way our nation eats.

As author of SCSU Common Read program selection for this year, Mr. Allen, will give a public presentation on Wednesday, October 26 at 7pm in Ritsche Auditorium, located in Stewart Hall on the St. Cloud State campus.
