A Passion for Portraits: The Art of Suzann Beck

You might think you’re looking at a floral or a landscape or a figurative painting. But to Suzann it will always be a portrait. Painting and drawing gives her permission to explore her subject, to seek out the beauty inside form, rust, and flower and the opportunity to bring out the life that resides in its spirit. Her “portrayal” of her subjects has nothing to do with the perfection of the object, having the right nose shape, or the smoothness of one’s skin. Suzann invites you to explore her portraits and discover the unique beauty and life she has found in her subjects.
