Intuitive Painting: Acrylic Mixed Media on Paper

This is an introduction to painting with mixed medias with Paige LaDue Henry. It will be a no fear exploration, trying out a wonderful collection of materials: acrylic paints, acrylic inks, oil pastels, graphite pencils, paint markers, stencils, stamps and collage with special papers.

We will be working on watercolor paper, a robust surface that can accept all the materials and techniques we can throw at it! You’ll learn how layers of different materials can create amazing effects and then you’ll want to experiment with ideas of your own!

That is the whole point, to explore and experiment with color, texture, line and shape. It’s great fun to set aside our expectations and be truly surprised and amazed at what we actually can create. You’ll leave with two matted finished pieces, ready to be framed!

All materials are included in the price for this class. You can bring a lunch or go get lunch locally. Bring a paint shirt and come with a sense of adventure!
